CHICAGO (AP) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson says a two-week suspension for Don Imus isn't good enough.
The civil rights activist says Imus should be fired for making racially inflammatory comments about the Rutgers University women's basketball team.
Jackson says while Imus has apologized, he has a history of making derogatory comments about blacks. Jackson says Imus has also insulted tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, as well as poet Maya Angelou.
MSNBC and CBS say they won't air Imus' radio broadcast for two weeks beginning Monday.
But Jackson calls the suspension "a slap on the wrist." And instead of just taking time off, Jackson says Imus needs "serious sensitivity training."
