The family of a murder victim makes a plea to the public. Cody Holmes' mother says all she wants is for someone to turn in the men who shot and killed her son. Holmes was shot and killed Friday afternoon while working at a Tulsa pawnshop. The bullet hit Holmes in the aorta, and he simply lost too much blood. The sheer brutality of this crime has rocked even veteran police officers, and they've worked around the clock to find the suspects. They are getting closer, but need some help.

"He'd never call, just bop in, hey mom, I'm here, what'cha got to drink and eat?" said Holmes’ mother Darlene Patton.

Patton has many happy memories of her handsome son. They will have to do, as she and the rest of the family try to come to grips with his murder.

"I lost my son, time with him, can't hug him, talk to him, hear him say, hi mom, I'm here," said Patton.

Everyone in the family wants the killers caught. Police say the three went inside the pawnshop and one or two remained in the getaway car. They showed no fear as they did the crime in front of a half-dozen customers and three other employees.

"There's no reason for what they did. It was brutal," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker.

Police interviewed more than two dozen people and put together two search warrants. They found the suspect vehicle and are in the process right now of getting a search warrant for the car to search for evidence, like fingerprints.

They say the men range in age from 16 to 30 years old, and they really need a tip to pinpoint a location. They say this crime even violates the code of criminals.

"We work all homicides as hard, but some, our heart really goes out to the victim and their families," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Mike Huff.

Police believe the men they're looking for are also responsible for a recent rash of parking lot crimes that were getting more and more violent and involved a beating. They also have surveillance video of these men at another EZ Pawn earlier in the day. It looked like they planned to rob it, but something happened and they left and chose the other location.
