After a cold snap in recent days, temperatures will begin rising across Oklahoma as this week progresses, but chances for rain also will increase.

The National Weather Service said Monday will be mostly cloudy. Conditions will be dry in the Panhandle, but there will be a slight chance of light rain or snow in northeastern Oklahoma and a slight chance of light rain elsewhere in the state. Highs will be the mid 50s to around 60.

Overnight lows Monday will drop into the 40s, with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in most parts of the state.

Tuesday will be partly to mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms likely in northeastern Oklahoma and possible in most other parts of the state, except for the Panhandle. Highs will range from around 60 in the northeast to the mid 70s in southwestern Oklahoma.

Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy on Wednesday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms across the state. Highs will be in the mid 60s to mid 70s.

Thursday will be partly to mostly clear, with the only slight chance for rain remaining in the Panhandle. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.
