WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) The reverse singles will take place Sunday in the United States versus Spain Davis Cup quarterfinal. Nothing is at stake as the U.S. locked up a semifinal berth with Saturday’s doubles victory by Bob and Mike Bryan.

Up next for the U.S. is a date in the semifinals with Sweden this September.

Marat Safin put defending champion Russia into the Davis Cup semifinals with a win over France's Paul-Henri Mathieu.

Safin won the decisive reverse singles match 7-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Russia will play Germany in the next round.
