MADISON, Ind. (AP) -- A manufacturing plant in Madison, Indiana, is closing and its operations will be consolidated into plants in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Baldor Electric Company of Fort Smith, Arkansas, will shut down the Reliance Electric plant in Madison on June 29th.

The operations will be consolidated into a plant in Westville in Adair County and into company headquarters in Fort Smith.

Baldor bought the plant in January as part of a deal for 14 plants.
