CEMENT, Okla. (AP) _ Police arrest a man after he allegedly was found in a vehicle belonging to an elderly woman who was discovered dead in her home in Cement.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says officers found 78-year-old Opal Jean Gibson about 11:30 Sunday morning. A relative had told them she had gone over there twice, but Gibson didn't answer the door.
Police developed a suspect in the case after it was found that Gibson's car was missing.
Brown says the vehicle, along with a 47-year-old man who apparently Gibson, was discovered in the Oklahoma City area.
The man was booked into the Oklahoma County jail and was transported to Caddo County Sunday night.
Caddo County Sheriff Gene Cain said the woman lived in a house in the city's low-rent public housing units.
