AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Adrian Alaniz pitched a three-hitter, and Texas broke a scoreless tie by getting three runs with two outs in the seventh inning of a 3-1 victory against Oklahoma on Saturday.

Jordan Danks, the only player with more than one hit, started the two-out surge by the Longhorns (25-8, 7-1 Big 12) with a single and stolen base. He scored on a single by Bradley Suttle, and Preston Clark had a two-run double after an intentional walk. Danks also singled in the fifth and was hit by a pitch in the third.

Alaniz (8-1) took a two-hit shutout into the eighth inning, when Mike Gosse tripled for the Sooners (20-9, 2-3) and later scored on a groundout by Jarod Freeman. Alaniz struck out five without allowing a walk.
