HOUSTON (AP) Bobby Murcer, who has been fighting a brain tumor, will begin experimental cancer treatments Monday in Houston.

The Oklahoma City native told the New York Daily News over the weekend that his tumor is, quote, ``entirely clear,'' and the New York Yankees broadcaster says he remains determined to return to the Yankees' broadcast booth this baseball season.

Murcer had surgery December 28th to remove a malignant brain tumor. He has been a Yankees broadcaster since he retired from playing.

The five-time All-Star, who played in the major leagues from 1965 to 1983, was diagnosed with the brain tumor on Christmas Eve after having headaches.

He recently underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments to fight the tumor.
