FAR HILLS, N.J. (AP) Oklahoma State sophomore Jonathan Moore is one of two golfers chosen by the U.S. Golf Association to represent the U.S. in the Copa de las Americas Championship in June in Canada.
Moore will join Webb Simpson of Wake Forest in the tournament, which will be held at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario.
Moore shot a school-record-tying low round of 62 last month as OSU won the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational. He also won medalist honors last year in the NCAA Division I tournament and subsequently qualified for the U.S. Open.
The first alternate for the U.S. squad is former OSU standout Trip Kuehne. The Americas tournament started in 2003 and is held every other year.
