NASHOBA, Okla. (AP) _ A 2-year-old boy drowned after falling into a creek on his family's Pushmataha County property, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Nichols Weems was riding a battery-powered toy Friday in his back yard when family members noticed he was missing and began to search for him, the OHP reported. They discovered the boy in a creek near the home and began CPR until emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
The boy was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he was pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m. Friday, the patrol reported.
