NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma pounds out 24 hits and scores eight runs in the first inning as the Sooners rout Texas-Pan American 20-to-4, their 13th win in their last 14 baseball games.
OU, now 15-and-5, had managed only five hits a day earlier in a 4-to-1 win over Texas-Pan American, which falls to 9-and-18.
Aaron Reza started the scoring Wednesday for the Sooners with a two-run triple to right-center field against Texas-Pan American starter Alex Guajardo, who faced five batters and failed to record an out.
Aaron Baker followed with a run-scoring single that extended his hitting streak to 20 games, the fifth-longest in OU history.
Later in the inning, Joseph Hughes hit a two-run double and Joe Dunigan added a bases-loaded double that scored three runs.
Dunigan finished 3-for-3 with four RBIs, while Reza went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Two other Sooners also had three hits -- Jarod Freeman and Devin Shepherd, who hit a two-run, seventh-inning home run.
