Peggy V. Helmerich Award Winner Announced

The fiction and non-fiction author best known for his book, â€œSchindler's Listâ€ has a new award for his trophy case. Thomas Keneally was named the Peggy V. Helmerich Award winner by the Tulsa Library Trust. Keneally has penned about 30 novels in his more than 40 year career. Heâ€™s also written several plays and screenplays.

The Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award gives formal recognition, on behalf of the Tulsa County community, to authors who have made a major contribution to the field of literature and have written a distinguished boy of work.

For winning the award Keneally will receive $40,000 and an engraved crystal book.
