AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas women's basketball coach Jody Conradt announced Monday that she is resigning effective immediately.

Conradt is the second winningest coach in Division I college basketball, behind only Tennessee women's coach Pat Summit.

Conradt picked up her 900th win on Tuesday in the first round of the Big 12 Conference tournament in Oklahoma City.

But on Monday night her team failed to make the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row.
