PURCELL, Okla. (AP) _ A Purcell funeral home director accused of using his business as a front to sell drugs wants his licenses back.
Charles Damet filed an appeal after the Oklahoma Funeral Board voted unanimously February 21st to revoke his licenses to operate the Yoakum-Damet Funeral Home.
Board executive director Terry McEnany says the board will hear the appeal and decide whether to uphold or modify its decision at a future meeting.
The 50-year-old Damet is facing multiple felony drug charges in McClain County District Court after a February 13th police raid.
Law enforcement officers allegedly found methamphetamine, bags of marijuana and prescription drugs in the funeral home and attached quarters where Damet lived.
