PURCELL, Okla. (AP) -- A McClain County judge has agreed to move the murder trial of a man suspected of killing a 10-year-old Purcell girl from Purcell to Norman.
Kevin Ray Underwood is charged in McClain County District Court with first-degree murder in the death of Jamie Rose Bolin last April.
Underwood's attorneys say extensive pre-trial publicity makes it impossible for him to get a fair trial in McClain County and Judge Candace Blalock moved it to Cleveland County.
Prosecutors say Underwood killed the girl as part of a cannibalistic plot and they plan to ask for the death penalty.
