A Creek County school district has been advised to boil its drinking water. The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has advised Olive School district to have its faculty, staff, students and users of their drinking water boil the water due to the presence of coliform bacteria in the water.
The boil advisory was issued after water samples submitted to the State Environmental Laboratory this month indicated the presence of coliform bacteria. State officials say the boil advisory was necessary to ensure the water is safe.
The Olive School district is located northeast of Drumright.
