ORU Going For Second Straight Mid-Con Title

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Mid-Continent Conference player of the year Caleb Green scores 25 points and Ken Tutt adds 17 points to lead Oral Roberts past Centenary 79-59 in the first round of the conference tournament.

The top-seeded Golden Eagles are now 21-10 and advance to play either IUPUI or Southern Utah in the semifinals Monday as they seek their second straight Mid-Con tournament championship.

Green, who leads the nation in free throws per game, hit 11-14 from the line Saturday to lead ORU, the league's regular-season champion.

Alexander Starr scored 20 points for the 8th-seeded Gents, who close at 10-21.
