MIAMI, Okla. (AP) _ A pickup truck careened off a gravel road and slammed into a tree early Sunday morning near Miami, killing two men who were pinned inside.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Robert Haskins of Miami and 21-year-old Brandon Stanley were killed in the crash, which happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

The patrol says Haskins was driving on the Ottawa County road at a high rate of speed when he ran off the right side of the road and slammed into a tree.

Haskins was pinned inside the wreckage for more than an hour, while Stanley was trapped for about 30 minutes.

The OHP says both men were wearing their seat belts.
