SAN DIEGO (AP) _ One of the most sought-after offensive linemen on the free agent market is no longer available. Kris Dielman has agreed to a new deal with the San Diego Chargers, the terms of which are still being worked out.
Dielman made a trip to Seattle after free agency began yesterday, but had said all along that he would like to return to block for MVP running back LaDainian Tomlinson. And San Diego general manager AJ Smith had said the team wanted to see what kind of offers the 300-pound left guard would get from other teams.
Dielman, an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2003, was converted from the defensive line to guard in his rookie season and quickly blossomed into a top offensive lineman.
