A traffic accident on the Turner Turnpike shut down the westbound lanes of the interstate for at least an hour Friday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident occurred near the Bristow exit on the turnpike.
OHP troopers say it appears a car was trying to turn around between the concrete barriers in the middle of the interstate when the accident occurred. 4 people were injured.
The westbound lanes were shutdown while medical helicopters landed to pick up the two of the injured. OHP continues to investigate the accident.
