Suspects Sought In Shooting

A woman is recovering after being shot in the head overnight. Tulsa Police responded to the call in the 1300 block of North Quanah around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found the woman in the living room of her home. She was shot once in the head and once in the shoulder.

Tulsa Police believe a male friend of the woman was also a target in the shooting. "He had observed three black males that were just outside the residence when he arrived to pay a visit. The three black males started yelling at him. When he immediately recognized there was a threat he went inside the residence with the female victim. But one of the assailants approached the house and fired," says Tulsa Police Captain Walter Evans.

The unidentified female victim was breathing and coherent when she was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Witnesses told Tulsa Police the suspects left the scene in a dark grey or pewter, late model sedan.
