OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Former state Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher is back behind bars after a judge revoked his appeal bond for violating terms of his release.
Fisher was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Oklahoma County jail and will remain there at least until a hearing Monday morning.
Fisher was convicted last year of embezzlement and perjury and sentenced to three years in prison but was free on bond.
A spokeswoman for Attorney General Drew Edmondson says Fisher is accused now of traveling without permission and without a monitoring device assigned to him while he was free on the appeal bond.
Fisher is awaiting trial on several other charges including filing a false tax return and perjury for declaring the return as true and correct.
