NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) Rebel Riding goes 3-5 and scored twice as Oklahoma State beat California State-Northridge 10-7 Sunday and avoids being swept in the three-game baseball series.
Oklahoma State fell behind 3-nothing after 1-inning but rallied to go ahead 6-3 with a 3-run 6th inning.
The Cowboys managed only 1-hit in the 6th but took advantage of 4-walks and a wild pitch by starter Chuck Fick and reliever Bobby Paschal.
Oklahoma State freshman left-hander Andrew Oliver settled down after the 1st inning and allowed no more runs while striking out 5-during a 5-inning pitching stint. He's 2-0 on the season.
Justin Friend allowed 4-runs and struck out 8-in 4-innings and picked up his first save of the season for the Cowboys.
OSU improves to 6-3 while Cal State-Northridge falls to 10-7.
