NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Stephen Porlier pitched 8-shutout innings and Aaron Baker had an RBI double as Oklahoma beat Western Illinois 1-0 to win its home opener.
Brandon Moss and Baker had back-to-back doubles with 2-outs in the 1st inning to stake Porlier (2-0) to the lead Friday. The right-hander gave up 3-hits and 1-walk and also hit 1-batter.
Garrett Richards pitched a perfect 9th inning for his second save.
Quinn Leath (0-1) gave up 5-hits in 5-innings for the Leathernecks.
