TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The newly created women's wrestling program at Oklahoma City University has its first wrestler.
Cheyenne Stokes of Tulsa East Central Thursday signed with OCU to become the first female college wrestler in the state.
Stokes is ranked the top 126-pound girl's wrestler in the nation and she wrestled boys on the high school team when she was a freshman and sophomore. Her goal is to make the U.S. women's Olympic wrestling team.
OCU announced earlier this month it's adding women's wrestling as a varsity sport starting in 2008.
