STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State University A&M board of regents will meet Wednesday to start the search for a new school president.

President David Schmidly was named over the weekend as the new president of the University of New Mexico.

The OSU regents will meet Wednesday afternoon in Stillwater and may set a timeline and criteria for selecting the a new president.

Details of Schmidly's contract with New Mexico, including his starting date, are still being worked out. Schmidly has sent a letter to the University of New Mexico saying he'll start no later than June 1st.
