WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) A judge on Friday granted a change of venue for the trial of a mother accused of first-degree murder in her six-year-old son's disappearance.

Judge Ray Dean Linder agreed to move the trial for 32-year-old Katherine Rutan from Woodward County to Woods County after defense attorneys argued that media coverage would make it impossible for her to receive a fair trial.

Rutan is charged with first-degree murder, even though the body of Logan Tucker has never been found. Prosecutors believe he was buried or dumped at a local landfill. He has been missing since 2002.

The trial is set to begin on August 20th in Alva.

The judge also issued a gag order to prevent anyone involved in the case from talking about it.
