Tulsa Police have arrested a robbery suspect who allegedly preyed on elderly residents. Tulsa Police say 40-year-old Tony Cline was arrested on a complaint of forgery and concealing stolen property.
Police say Cline, who recently moved to Tulsa, would allegedly knock on the doors of elderly residents and ask for water. Police say once inside, Cline would then allegedly steal the elderly victim’s purse or wallet.
After getting a complaint, detectives were able to locate a merchant that named Cline as a possible suspect in connection with some stolen checks. That merchant also noticed the suspect’s Idaho license plates. Tulsa Police checked vehicles at area motels and located Cline.
After Cline was interviewed, he was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail.
And another robbery suspect is behind bars thanks to sharp eyewitnesses and hard work by the Tulsa Police.
Tulsa Police say the suspect, 26-year-old Jeffery Oyler, was arrested without incident Thursday evening at a Tulsa motel. Police say they were able to track him to the motel thanks to good information from several witnesses.
Oyler was arrested for the robbery of a liquor store in the 8100 block of East 51st Street. He is also suspected of robbing a liquor store in the 1600 block of South Yale. Both robberies happened on Thursday.
Oyler remains in the Tulsa County jail.
