OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The trial of former state Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher on a charges of filing a false state tax return and perjury is being postponed.

The trial was to start Monday in Oklahoma City but is now being put off until June 11th.

The trial is being delayed because Fisher's attorney has to be in court on another case.

Fisher was convicted last year of embezzling a $1,000 campaign donation but remains free on appeals.

He resigned as insurance commissioner in 2004 after being impeached by the state House and just before a Senate trial began on whether to remove him from office.
