A Missouri woman is dead; two other people are hospitalized after an accident near Sapulpa.

Sapulpa police say a driver was northbound on U.S. Highway 97 when they lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road. The driver overcorrected and the car went airborne, then hit an oncoming vehicle, officials said.

Forty-two year old Kathy Skaggs, a passenger in the northbound car, was killed; both drivers are hospitalized in serious condition, said authorities.

A case of beer was found in the vehicle that lost control, said officers. Police are investigating to determine if alcohol was involved.
