DENVER (AP) _ Desmond Mason hit a putback at the buzzer to give New Orleans a wild 114-to-112 overtime win at Denver.
JR Smith shot only 3-of-13 against his former team but tied it at 112 with a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left last night. Mason won it with the last of his 23 points.
David West and Devin Brown each had 17 points for the Hornets, who trailed by ten in the fourth quarter before winning for the 13th time in their last 15 road games.
Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 27 points but threw up an airball with two-point-nine seconds left in regulation.
Allen Iverson finished with 22 points and Nene added 18 in the Nuggets' seventh loss in eight games.
