STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ After Oklahoma State's third straight road loss this season, forward Marcus Dove drew the dubious task of charting defensive miscues during a three-and-a-half-hour film session.
The video showed OSU players failing to fight through screens and even turning their backs on offensive players they were supposed to be guarding.
In the 89-77 loss at Colorado, the Cowboys (18-4, 4-3) gave up the most points they'd allowed in regulation this season.
David Monds says the bad defensive performance could have been blamed on fatigue or a lack of focus, but he said basically OSU's defense showed no effort.
The defensive problems have existed on the road all season. OSU has five wins at neutral sites, but they've lost all three of their true road games.
Coach Sean Sutton hopes his team is motivated to fix its road woes.
He's told his players he thinks the Cowboys need at least 10 conference wins to make the NCAA tournament.
That means having at least some level of success away from Gallagher-Iba Arena.
