McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A McAlester businessman accused of killing his wife is now out of jail after a judge cut his bond from a million dollars to $500,000.

Erick Stachmus is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Regina Stachmus who was found dead November 7th in a hot tub in the couple's condominium.

Stachmus told police he found his wife lying face up with the tub's cover pulled over her.

An autopsy found Regina Stachmus died of asphyxia caused by drowning and-or compression on her neck. It also found she had blunt force trauma to the head and a fracture on the bridge of her nose.

The couple owned a franchise of Serv-Pro which does fire, water and mold damage cleanup.
