Tulsa firefighters were busy Thursday evening at the scene of an apartment near 11th and Elgin.
The fire broke shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. Red Cross and a special bus were brought to assist occupants of the apartments with special needs. There were no injuries and everyone inside the apartments did get out safely.
Fire officials on the scene said someone on the road alerted occupants of the apartments to the fire.
Fire official say the cause of the fire was a discarded cigarette in a windowsill on the 3rd floor.
