A Tulsa woman is $40,000 richer and has the body to prove it. Jen Weatherman won the “EAS Body for Life†contest Monday. She told News on 6 reporter Jennifer Loren what the contest has done for her.
"I was just like what, what! I was jumping around in the gym and I was running up and down the hall and I saw Alex and I was like I won! I won!"
35-year-old Jen Weatherman wasn't always so bouncy. Just a few months ago she was 20 pounds heavier and had 12 percent more body fat.
"What inspired you to do this? Feeling fat and lazy and sitting at home and my daughter asking me to go walk around the block and just being too dang lazy to do it," said Weatherman.
Jen found the Body for Life website and began her 12-week transformation. She says she followed the contest guidelines and began working out daily. Weatherman ate five to six small meals a day, and used some of the company's energy and fat burning products to drop the pounds.
"And so I just set out to do it,†she said. “I just stayed focused and it was really beneficial for me."
Jen says she also gained a network of support from other contest entrants she met online.
What started out as a 12-week contest has become a life-changing experience that will last a lifetime.
"Besides changing my outward appearance and getting lots of energy and just feeling better over all, I have made some of the best friends in my life," Weatherman said.
