McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A University of Tulsa law school graduate is the new city manager of McAlester.
The city council voted 5-to-1 to hire Mark Roath to take over the new job. He's expected to start within the next three to five weeks.
City officials say Roath will earn $100,000 a year, plus a $500 a month vehicle allowance.
Roath currently lives in Wiley, Texas, where he was city manager until September.
He previously was city manager in Sapulpa and Coweta.
