More financial help is headed to Northeastern Oklahomans hit hard by the ice storm. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club has donated $250,000 to the Tulsa chapter of the Red Cross and its storm relief efforts. The money will help pay for 46 shelters and over 84,000 meals provided to storm victims over the past two weeks.
"Wal-Mart's gift of $250,000 helps the local community so much and helps us to continue to provide that work that we do every day in our community," said Mary Ogle with the American Red Cross.
Besides Oklahoma, the Red Cross has set up shelters and provided meals in Texas, Arkansas and Missouri, which were also hit by the ice.
