IRVING, Texas (AP) _ It's been nearly two weeks since the Dallas Cowboys season ended and Bill Parcells hasn't decided whether he wants to keep coaching.
The Associated Press reports Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has told Parcells to take all the time he wants -- at least until the February 1st deadline in the coach's contract.
Parcells -- who's 65 -- is due about $5.5-million this year from Dallas.
Working in television doesn't pay nearly that well.
The Cowboys lost four of their last five games, culminating with a playoff loss at Seattle.
That left Dallas 34-and-32 in four years under Parcells, including 0-and-2 in the playoffs.
The Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since 1996 -- the longest drought in club history.
