STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- A Payne County jury is recommending a 200-year prison sentence for a man it convicted of conspiracy and distribution of methamphetamine.
Benjamine Thompson of Stillwater was convicted on two of six counts after being accused of taking part in a drug deal in a Wal-Mart parking lot. He was found innocent of two other distribution counts and two other conspiracy charges.
Thompson already has five previous felony convictions.
Formal sentencing is scheduled for Friday.
