COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) _ The top-ranked Oklahoma men's gymnastics team won five of six individual events at the finals of the Rocky Mountain Open over the weekend.
The event at Colorado Springs ended on a somber note as all-around champion Jacob Messina appears to be out for the season with a knee injury.
OU quickly displayed why it's the top contender for a third-straight national championship. Starting on the still rings, the Sooners swept the event.
Messina won the event with a score of 9.1. Freshman Ian Jackson finished second at 8.85 in the first individual event finals of his collegiate career. Jason Laughton sealed the sweep with his 8.4.
