OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Wintry weather is causing a veriety of transportation problems across the state.
A spokesman for Amtrak in Chicago, Marc Magliari, says the Heartland Flyer passenger train from Fort Worth, Texas, was delayed for hours last night after a freight train using the same tracks malfunctioned near Gainesville, Texas.
Magliari says the foul weather prevented Amtrak from getting a fresh crew to the train. That will idle the train for today's return trip to Texas.
Magliari says Amtrak had planned to add an additional passenger car for today's Heartland Flyer run to serve airline passenger's stranded at Will Rogers World Airport. The additional car can accomodate up to 70 people.
