KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Ken Tutt scored 21 points to lead Oral Roberts to a 75-to-68 victory over Missouri-Kansas City.
The Golden Eagles never trailed in the game after scoring the first nine points in the game, but the Kangaroos made it close down the stretch.
UMKC, which trailed 48-to-30 with 15:30 left in the game, cut the margin to three on a steal and dunk by Dane Brumagin with 1:39 remaining in the contest.
The Kangaroos could get no closer as the Golden Eagles connected on 8-of-10 free throws in the last 50 seconds to seal their fifth consecutive victory.
Freshman Dominique Johnson, who led UMKC with 18 points, fueled the comeback with 13 points in the last 6:19.
