Oklahoma's new Speaker of the House is asking citizens for their best ideas on improving the state in its second century.
Republican Lance Cargill was in Tulsa Thursday to talk about his "100 Ideas Initiative" unveiled this month. He's calling on government leaders and citizens to brainstorm ideas that will form a blueprint for Oklahoma's future.
Meanwhile, Cargill said there is immediate work to be done. "As we look to two our second century, state government needs to be doing all we can is to create an entrepreneurial. Oklahoma. Education will be very important, insuring that every kid, not just a privilege few get a good education. All folks have good access to healthcare."
Cargill plans to hold a series of town hall style meetings to gather people's ideas. You can also submit them on the website www.100ideasok.org.
