McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- Pittsburg County authorities say a man wanted in a double homicide apparently killed himself during a stand-off with police early Tuesday morning.

BJ Srader was found dead from a gunshot wound inside a cell phone tower near McAlester. Police went into the tower about 1 AM Tuesday after hearing a gunshot after the McAlester Police Department's SWAT team fired tear gas into the building.

Police went to the cell tower about 11 Monday night when a deputy checking an alarm determined Srader might be inside.

Srader was wanted in the shooting deaths of Roger Martin junior and Melissa Phillips near McAlester early Monday. Martin and Phillips' bodies were found on the porch of Martin's home about 4:45 Monday morning.

A friend of Srader's says Srader and Phillips had had a relationship but Phillips broke it off. John Allen says Srader mistreated Phillips before she ended the relationship.
