STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Adarius Bowman, a wide receiver on the Oklahoma State football team, has joined the Cowboy basketball squad.
Head coach Sean Sutton says Bowman will begin practicing with the basketball team Monday. Sutton says he's impressed with Bowman's sharpness and personality.
Bowman says he played basketball growing up and loves the game. He says he's not trying to be the leading scorer but that he's got good jumping ability and will rebound, play defense or do whatever the team needs.
Sutton says Bowman's presence will definitely help the Cowboys' depth situation.
Bowman, 6’4†and 220 pounds, was named All-Big 12 first team on the football field this past season as a wide receiver after racking up 1,181 yards and 12 touchdowns.
