TULSA, Okla. (AP) Electric power is still out to at least 1,800 people in the Oklahoma Panhandle nearly a week after a winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow in some places.
And the National Weather Service has issued a snow and blowing snow advisory for Cimarron and Texas counties, where one to four inches of snow was possible Friday night.
Meanwhile, the National Guard continued its relief mission to drop bales of hay by helicopter to stranded cattle.
Despite high winds, workers were able to deliver 62 round bales of hay that will feed about 3,100 head of cattle.
Oklahoma Agriculture Secretary Terry Peach says a C-47 Chinook helicopter flew eight missions delivering 24 large round bales and ground crews were able to deliver 38 bales.
Peach says he's confident that with a day and a half of clear weather, the operation can be wrapped up.
