QUINTON, Okla. (AP) -- Funeral service are scheduled for Thursday for a Quinton, Oklahoma, soldier who was killed in Iraq.

Specialist Joshua Sheppard was killed December 22nd in fighting near Baghdad.

Services will be held for Sheppard at 1 PM Thursday in the auditorium of the Quinton Elementary School.

Sheppard was a member of the 642nd Engineer Support Company out of Fort Drum, N.Y.

Sheppard began his tour in Iraq on September 15th.
