Tulsa patients in need of urgent medical attention now have a new option.
St. John Urgent Care at 17th and Utica opened its doors Tuesday. Doctors say Tulsa emergency rooms are becoming busier leading to longer waits. The new center could help unload overcrowded ERs.
Todd Hoffman with St. John Urgent Care: “people when they feel ill and their doctor's not around the first thing they think of is hey I'll go to some place that's open 24/7. And the ER has always been that venue for them. Now they have a different choice. They can go to an urgent care and not have to wait as long.â€
The center will be open weekdays from 9 AM to 9 PM. And from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekends.
