With the New Year comes those annual resolutions to lose weight and get in shape. But while people are determined to work out in January, eight out ten will give up on their resolutions before March.
Local trainers say in order to not get discouraged, you should try to accomplish your fitness goals in stages. They also recommend that you make a commitment to working out for at least half an hour several times a week.
Alex Skotarek with the Platinum Fitness Center: “exercise is something you want to have as part of your daily life, all day long. You want to be eating properly, working out is a must to get your heart rate going."
Some gyms even offer lifestyle coaches you can hire to help you develop a workout plan and diet.
