OKLAHOMA CITY -- All flags on state property will be lowered to half staff in memory of former President Gerald Ford.
Ford died Tuesday at his home in Rancho, Mirage, California. He was 93.
Governor Brad Henry today called Ford a strong leader who stabilized the nation following Watergate and the Vietnam War and ordered all flags on state property be flown at half staff through January 25th in Ford's memory.
Ford’s daughter married a Tulsa attorney and they lived in Tulsa for a time. President Ford made several visits to the city during that period.
